Executive Officer in the Academic Advising and Scholarships Office of the Registry (Ref.: 532552) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated team player to join the Academic Advising Team of our office. The appointee will be responsible for developing and organising academic advising-related events, campaigns, workshops and trainings for undergraduate students, student advisers, and staff with an advising role. He/she will help promote the academic advising culture of the University, assist in developing advising resources and reach out to students through traditional and social media channels. He/she will also be responsible for design-related tasks, including producing posters, banners, and pamphlets; and creating web page images, social media graphics and animated videos, and perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, with at least 3 years’ work experience in academic advising, student enrichment, student services, social media marketing or activity organisation, preferably in a tertiary institution. They should be good team players and have the ability to plan and implement activities and promotional initiatives. They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good organisational and communication skills, and enjoy interacting with students. Experience in producing promotion/publicity materials and knowledge in any graphic/video design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), Canva, Vyond, etc. would be a definite advantage. Priority will be given to applicants who can demonstrate their design skills through a portfolio or link to previous work.
