Research Assistant II in the Faculty of Education (Ref. : 532549)

We are seeking a motivated person to join the speech and neuromodulation lab in the Faculty of Education. This position is available as either full-time or part-time, commencing as soon as possible for a six-month term, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

 

Applicants should:

  • hold a bachelor’s degree or above in Speech Therapy, Linguistics, Psychology, Neuroscience, or related disciplines
  • have at least one year of post-qualification work experience in speech and language-related projects
  • possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese)
  • have experience in fieldwork data collection from children (preferred)
  • be familiar with statistical packages such as SPSS or R 

 

Job duty:

  • liaise with schools and coordinate participant recruitment
  • collect data from children and adults
  • schedule and conduct behavioral experiments
  • prepare linguistic stimuli/tasks in Cantonese
  • review and write research reports and articles
  • perform other research-related duties as assigned by the project leader

 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Eligible appointment will be entitled to annual leave and medical benefits.
