Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences and Community Dental Care of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 532432)

We are looking for an Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) to join the Division of Applied Oral Sciences and Community Dental Care of the Faculty of Dentistry.

The Role

The appointee will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical support to the division, including general office administration, academic program administration, and student-related matters and inquiries. He/She will assist with division events and seminars, arrange travel for visits or business trips, including flights, hotel accommodations and other logistics, liaise with internal and external parties, support payment and reimbursement processes, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant work experience; OR 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions or in the education sector;
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (desirably including Putonghua);
  • Meticulous attention to details;
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently without close supervision;
  • IT proficiency; and
  • A good team player, with self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility and ethics. 

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
