Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on topics related to Urbanization and Carbon Neutrality, including but not limited to urban planning, sustainable development, carbon emissions reduction, and energy transition.
  • Design and refine research methodologies and instruments for data collection.
  • Coordinate and manage data collection, analysis, and interpretation using advanced statistical methods.
  • Support the organization of research dissemination events such as seminars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Assist in the preparation of research reports, policy briefs, and academic publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the project leader.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in urban studies, environmental sciences, geography, social sciences, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of relevant research experience in areas such as urbanization, sustainability, or carbon neutrality.
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under tight schedules and meet project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Familiarity with urban and environmental policies or experience working on projects related to urban sustainability is an advantage.
  • Expertise in analyzing quantitative research data using advanced statistical software (e.g., MPlus, R, Python) is preferred.
