Research Officer in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532329)

Duties and Responsibilities

• work in a multidisciplinary team 
• assist in data acquisition and analysis, write-up of the results, preparation of scientific publications as well as drafting of research grants
• provide strategic guidance to ensure successful project outcomes
• provide technical training/coaching and supervision of research team members and students 
• perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences, Immunology or a related biomedical discipline, with at least 5-year work experience in related-field
• extensive experience in flow cytometry and cell sorting, multi-omics, and handling of animal models in kidney diseases
• excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• excellent communication skills in written, and spoken English and Chinese
• track records of managing a research team and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students are required
• be self-driven and motivated according to project requirements
• applicants who possess experience in grant proposal preparation or good funding and publication track records will have an advantage

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on 1-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
