Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer / Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Anaesthesiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532326), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in medical science, biological science, or a related discipline, preferably in basic neuroscience. They should have a relevant academic background with at least 5 years of relevant research experience as well as excellent organizational, writing and verbal communication skills. They should be self-motivated, be highly committed and have the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Work experience in grant-writing or a track record of successful funding applications will be an advantage. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Research Officer.
The appointee will be responsible for managing research projects. He/she will also assist in preparing scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; performing data analysis; liaising and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders; supervising junior research team members and performing other duties as assigned.
