Finance Manager/ Assistant Finance Manager in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.:532263) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess:
• a recognised accounting qualification with a minimum of 10 years' post-qualification relevant experience of which at least 5 years at managerial or supervisory level;
• experience in procurement, management accounting and/or financial analysis in a medium to large-sized organization, preferably in tertiary institutions/ public utilities;
• proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making;
• experience in managing audits, internal control and compliance check;
• the ability to establish, influence and maintain collaborative partnerships and engage in effective negotiations with a broad range of stakeholders;
• strong communication and presentation skills; innovative and business mind set; ability to work under pressure and be a good team player; and
• an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, good computer literacy in MS Word, Excel and data analytic tools.

Experience in procurement ERP/ Oracle cloud procurement is a plus. Those with less experience may be considered as Assistant Finance Manager.

The appointee will be responsible for the planning and implementation of financial and procurement measures of the School, streamlining process to achieve cost-effectiveness, facilitating daily procurement process, supervising junior staff, and performing any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
