Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I (several posts) in the Centre for Safe Medication Practice and Research (Ref: 532250)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with a team of researchers on projects related to big data and pharmacoepidemiology of medication safety and effectiveness in areas including such as cardiology, psychiatry, oncology and infectious diseases
- Work on projects related to the development and validation of artificial intelligence (AI) clinical risk prediction tools using electronic medical records and genetic data
- Conduct standard statistical analysis of epidemiological data and interpret the results
- Manage and analyze large quantitative datasets
- Assist in the implementation of research projects in Hong Kong SAR and across mainland China
- Prepare and manage submission to the IRB
- Prepare reports and manuscripts
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Computer Science, AI, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience
- A relevant background in analysing large and complex datasets using R, Python, SAS, STATA, or other analytical tools
- The ability to implement statistical analyses of epidemiological data with correct interpretation of the results
- Excellent communication and project management skills with attention to details
- Excellent coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills
- A good command of spoken and written English
- A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
