Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Executive Assistant / Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 532236), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of solid work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good interpersonal, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Good IT proficiency and ability to handle multi-tasks would be an advantage
  • Candidates with less experience may be appointed as Clerk II

Responsibilities

The appointee will join the Faculty’s Research Team to provide administrative and clerical support for the Faculty’s research administration and development, including:

  • Managing research grant applications and funding schemes
  • Coordinating events and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing research promotion content for websites and newsletters
  • Assisting in annual data collection exercises and preparing statistical reports
  • Performing any other duties as assigned, in support of operational needs

What We Offer

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of the basic salary.
