Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Manager) in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 532052)
We are now inviting applications for the aforementioned position to support the Centre’s mental health projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the co-convenor in monitoring and coordinating the entire project.
- Implement the project proposal and track the progress of deliverables.
- Coordinate research activities and project evaluations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
- Prepare and compile proposals, reports, articles, presentation decks, and other documentation.
- Organize meetings and events, including symposiums and seminars.
- Conduct budget forecasting and prepare financial reports.
- Support the Centre’s general research initiatives, events, and teaching courses.
- Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A good Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Social Policy, Psychology, or related disciplines, with at least 6 years of solid and relevant experience in project management, staff supervision, budget forecasting, financial reporting, and report writing; OR a Master’s degree with at least 4 years of the aforementioned experience.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- A strong sense of responsibility.
- A detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
- Significant experience in engaging with NGOs and government agencies will be considered an advantage.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on one year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
