Full-time Assistant Research Officer / Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Speech Language Pathologist) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 532046)

Applications are invited for the captioned post. The successful candidate will be involved in a specific research project related to swallowing management in older adults.

Applicants should:

• hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science in speech-language pathology
• be a qualified Speech Language Pathologist in Hong Kong
• preferably have experience in the elderly clinical setting
• work independently in a multidisciplinary team and with external parties including social service groups
• be responsible, organized, self-motivated, hardworking and able to multi-tasking
• be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese preferred)
• have good interpersonal and communication skills

Job duty:

• deliver clinical components of a research project related to swallowing, including data collection and collation, preparing reports and database management
• conduct assessments and treatments in Residential Care Homes for the Elderly
• organize project events
• perform other duties as assigned

The appointment rank will be based on the applicant’s prior work experience. The appointment will commence as soon as possible until 31 August 2027, on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity.
