Full-time Research Officer / Assistant Research Officer (holding the functional title of Senior Speech Language Pathologist) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 532045)

Applications are invited for the captioned post.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with at least three years of post-qualification clinical experience and be a qualified Speech Language Pathologist. They should be responsible, organized and self-motivated with a hardworking attitude. Applicants must have excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese preferred), strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. They should be able to collaborate with external parties, including social service groups. Experience in elderly clinical work would be advantageous.

The appointee will be involved in research projects related to swallowing problem. He /She will coordinate research design and planning, provide clinical supervision, facilitate data collection and management, lead the impact measurements, train and supervise speech language pathologists or research staff members, assist in preparation of reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

The appointment rank will be based on the applicant’s prior work experience. The appointment will commence on 1 September 2025 until to 31 August 2027, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity.
