Laboratory Attendant in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532013) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis)

We are seeking a qualified Laboratory Attendant in a relevant field and with a valid steam boiler operator certification. The preferred candidate should have at least 5 years of related experience for daily duties of collecting and transporting clinical samples within a hospital setting, handling and processing laboratory specimens in the medical laboratory, operating autoclave and equipment, cleaning lab wares, and ordering and preparing experimental materials. The role requires half-day work on Saturdays, and the appointee will work under senior supervision while collaborating with research staff.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
