Part-time Senior Research Assistant (holding the title of Case Manager) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 532006) (to commence on June 1, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter for one year with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicant should possess a Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or related disciplines and be a registered member of a recognized professional body in Hong Kong. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and stay informed about trending topics related to tertiary students and the counselling field. S/he should have at least 2 years of counselling or professional experience in tertiary education, mental healthcare, or human services settings. Experience in coaching and training would be an asset.

The appointee will be responsible for implementing the Counselling Unit as an educational platform for the MSocSc (Counselling) programme. S/he will provide support and guidance to students and graduates by developing and conceiving counselling-related initiatives. The appointee will conduct clinical duties such as initial assessments and casework with clients. S/he will assist in administrative and design duties for the Unit and its social media platforms, and prepare research on the services and outcomes of the Unit.
