Manager/Assistant Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 531976) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 8 years’ work experience in the higher education sector. They should be excellent communicators with an exceptional command of English and Chinese; possess a strong sense of responsibility and strategic awareness; capable of working proficiently with significant independence; and be able to keep their team motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. They are also expected to possess a high level of decision-making, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills, as well as an appropriate level of IT knowledge. Experience in overseeing postgraduate programmes (particularly in areas marketing, promotion, admissions and student engagement) is essential. Experience in events management or overseeing collaborative research initiatives would be an advantage. Applicants with less experience would be considered for Assistant Manager.
The appointee will play a versatile role in leading executive and clerical staff in supporting a range of tasks, on or above operational level, such as planning and implementing recruitment and promotion strategies for the faculty’s postgraduate programmes, managing admissions procedures, overseeing the organization of faculty-wide events such as research symposia and mixers. He/She will also lead initiatives that drive research collaboration, excellence and impact, as well as other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.
