Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct research on ESG trends, education model, and industry developments to ensure content is timely, relevant, and informative;
- Facilitate and execute the projects including drafting of reports and coordinating of activities;
- Create compelling, educational, and interactive content for social media platforms, including graphics, short-form videos, and infographics;
- Maintain a consistent and professional brand voice across all platforms, aligned with the podcast’s mission and HKU’s values;
- Drive engagement by fostering community interactions through polls, Q&A sessions, reels, and other interactive formats;
- Analyze performance data and generate insights to inform content strategy and improve campaign outcomes;
- Assist in researching and measuring the podcast’s educational impact on students, including collecting feedback and evaluating learning outcomes;
- Coordinate with students, professors, staff, and industry practitioners to ensure smooth project execution and content alignment;
- Plan and manage a content calendar to ensure consistency, category variety, and timely delivery of post;
- Stay up-to-date with social media tools, platform-specific features, and best practices to maximize reach and impact;
- Performing other administrative and project duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Communications, Media, Education, Social Science, or related discipline;
- 1 year+ work experience, preferably in higher education / media / non-profit / ESG-focused environment;
- The capability to work in teams and independently;
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Canva Pro) and basic video editing skills (e.g. Adobe Premiere or similar tools);
- Familiarity with platform algorithms (Instagram, Threads, RedNote, LinkedIn) and hashtag/SEO strategies for optimizing visibility;
- Possess strong communication, writing, and presentation skills in both Cantonese and English, capable of working independently, multi-task under pressure, attentive to details, and a fast learner and a good team player;
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills for crafting clear, concise, and compelling digital content;
- Proficiency in research and analytical skills (Excel, SPSS, R), with the ability to evaluate both engagement metrics and educational impact through qualitative and quantitative methods;
- Experience in content planning and managing a structured social media calendar;
- A passion for ESG, sustainability, and digital media, with a self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach.
