Information Technology Services (ITS) provides central IT services to support the University’s teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. We are currently looking for high-caliber IT talents to join Information Technology Services to support the adoption of AI for the University.
The Role
- Conduct in-depth research and evaluation of AI advancements and industry-specified trends to align with evolving business objectives
- Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives with the latest Large Language Model (LLM) technologies, demonstrating a commitment to exploring new possibilities
- Understand and analyze business needs, propose appropriate AI / Digital solutions, and actively take part in innovative projects with new technology
- Optimize AI solutions to maximize efficiency, productivity, and value across the University
- Ensure all AI products and applications are adhered to responsible AI best practices and ethical standards
- Maintain the architecture repository in Enterprise Architecture (EA) modelling tool and manage the team SharePoint site
- Drive the adoption of AI and EA in other departments and faculties
Qualifications and Qualities
- A good Bachelor's degree (Information Technology/Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/a related discipline)
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
- An excellent command of English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese)
- Robust organization and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of technology trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Ability to multi-task, collaborate effectively with team members, and work independently with attention to detail
Good knowledge of and relevant experience in SOME of the following areas is required:
- Proficiency in application development & integration
- Proficiency in applying AI technologies for practical solutions to enhance business processes, decision-making, and user experience
- Implementation of LLM/RAG/Agentic AI related projects

What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
