Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the School of Chinese (Ref.: 531727) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants for the Senior Executive Assistant position should hold a Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in tertiary institutions, preferably in programme administration. The ideal candidate should be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua. They should also possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate attention to detail. Furthermore, they should be self-motivated, bear a strong sense of responsibility, have a positive teamwork attitude, and the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office, Chinese word processing and designing tool (e.g. Canva) is essential. Candidates with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for an Executive Assistant position.

The appointee will be responsible for providing administrative support to taught postgraduate programmes, managing tasks related to student admissions, course selection, attendance records, data collection and compilation, and course evaluations. Additionally, he/ she will assist with programme publicity, student activities, handling inquiries, and completing specific or general clerical tasks as required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
