Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Research Assistant (holding a title of Research Scientist) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 531722 ), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree, with a proven research track record in the areas of cardiology and stem cell research.  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English, a high degree of self-motivation, and the ability to work well both independently and in groups.  The appointee will participate in laboratory studies on stem cell modelling of congenital heart disease and assist in preparing research grants and executing projects.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
