IT Officer in the Information Technology Services (Ref.: 531687)
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides central IT services to support the University’s teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. ITS is transforming its organization to support its new strategic development and strategic adoption of new technologies. Information about ITS can be obtained at https://www.its.hku.hk.
We are currently looking for high-caliber IT talents to join Strategy, Governance & Architecture team to support the adoption of digital-transformation solutions for the University.
The Role
- Assist in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with university goals and governance policies
- Design and document scalable, secure, and efficient architectures for data, applications, and technology systems
- Maintain the architecture repository in EA modelling tool and manage the team SharePoint site
- Assist project teams in updating the architecture of Infrastructure, Application and Information
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement enterprise architecture solutions
- Promote the adoption of Enterprise Architecture to other departments and faculties
Qualifications and Qualities
- A good Bachelor's degree (Information Technology/Computer Science/a related discipline)
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
- An excellent command of English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese)
- Robust organization and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of technology trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Ability to multi-tasking, collaborate effectively with team members, and work independently with attention to detail
Good knowledge of and relevant experience in SOME of the following areas is required:
- Proficiency in application development & integration
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture framework, such as TOGAF and ArchiMate
- Proficiency in applying AI technologies for practical solutions to enhance business processes, decision-making, and user experience
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
