Senior Research Assistant/ Research Assistant I/II in Community Child Health in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref.:531672 ) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The appointee will participate in a large-scale 15-year longitudinal population study of growth among children and adolescents in Hong Kong. We aim to identify the vulnerable group and estimate their future risk to develop the guide for effective interventions.

You will be expected, but not limited to liaising with related parties, supervising student helpers, cleaning and management, performing data collection, filing and analysis, and writing manuscripts under supervision. On-the-job training will be provided. Your primary work location will be in Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, Kowloon Bay.

You should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Statistics, Data Science, or other healthcare-related disciplines, preferably with at least one year's post-qualification. The successful candidate will have a creative approach to problem-solving, be self-motivated, highly committed, able to work in a team, have a good command of written English and spoken Cantonese and have good organizational and administrative skills. They should be self-motivated, highly committed, and able to work independently as well as in a team. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
