Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Geriatric Medicine of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine  (Ref.: 531377)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Principal Investigator in research projects related to elderly care and health services
  • Data collection, data cleaning and analysis
  • Literature review and report writing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree or above in Biostatistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Psychology or related disciplines, with at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience in research work
  • A strong foundation in biostatistics and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. R, Python)
  • Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) data and population-based large datasets
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Mature, responsible, self-motivated and hardworking
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Evidence of academic excellence in undergraduate/ postgraduate studies, as well as an interest in pursuing research postgraduate study (M.Phil. or Ph.D.), would be highly desirable

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
