Technical Officers (3 posts) in the School of Biological Sciences (Ref.: 531328) (on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Science. They should have hands-on experience in laboratory work and demonstrate proficiency in a diverse range of laboratory techniques. Experience in molecular biology and cell culture is advantageous. Applicants with an interest in plant culture are also encouraged to apply. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required, along with a strong sense of responsibility and good interpersonal skills. Possession of a driving license is preferred.
The appointees will serve as the technician-in-charge, responsible for preparing teaching practical sessions, operating system equipment, assisting the research groups with experiments, carrying out fieldwork, including logistic arrangements. They will also perform any other duties as assigned.
