Research Assistant I/II in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 530982­­­­) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. They should be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team. Preference will be given to those with experience and/or interest in organic synthesis, mass spectrometry, cell culture, gel-electrophoresis, and western blotting.

The appointees will work on interdisciplinary projects related to:

1. Chemoproteomics-driven discovery of covalent ligands for cancer therapy

2. New chemistry for the synthesis of immunomodulatory drugs for cancer therapy

3. Protein structure-guided medicinal chemistry

The appointees will have good opportunities to learn and perform state-of-the-art research for drug target identification and drug development, and collaborate with different teams with expertise in cancer biology.
