Legal Officer (Intellectual Property)/ Legal Executive (Intellectual Property) in the Technology Transfer Office (Ref.: 530981) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal.)

Applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Science/Engineering/Law or a related discipline, with at least 2 years’ solid experience as a secretary/paralegal, preferably in a law firm, intellectual property agency or inhouse legal department.  

They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); sound knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP); and hands-on experience in patent prosecution. They should also be conscientious, mature, hard-working, and good team player with the ability to work independently.

The appointee will handle IP matters including filing, docketing, and managing IP portfolio; recording bibliographic details and monitoring deadlines; monitoring patent expenditures; coordinating with internal and external parties; and performing other administrative duties as assigned.

Candidate with less experience or lower qualification will be considered as Legal Executive (Intellectual Property).

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
