Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer in Real Estate and Construction in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref. 530976), to commence as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field with at least 5 years’ teaching or industrial experiences. Applicants are supposed to have an international reputation in the field and be with a multi-disciplinary background and relevant professional experience applied to design, construction, facilities management, and heritage conservation. It will be an advantage to have a good record of productive research outputs and consciously input the research outputs in teaching.
The undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the Department are accredited by a number of international and local built environment professional bodies. The appointee will develop and teach courses at both under- and post-graduate levels, undertake course- and programme-related administrative duties, coordinate renovation projects of the Department and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
