Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 530956) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree, with at least 3 years’ work experience, preferably in a tertiary institution. They should be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude, while being able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. A good command of English and Chinese; effective communication and organizational skills; as well as an appropriate level of IT skills are essential and highly desirable. Applicants are also expected to be attentive to details and be able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently, with demonstrated competence in discharging complex clerical duties. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant.
The appointee will be responsible for assisting with a wide range of clerical/administrative work related to finance management and research grant administration; performing clerical/secretarial duties in daily office operations; and handling ad hoc/non-routine tasks as required. Work outside normal office hours may be required occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
