Research Assistant I/II in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 530926), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

 

We now invite applications for the captioned post (several posts). The appointee will provide opportunities to work with researchers on project(s) related to evaluation of service ultilisation of hard-to-reach elderly and early warning system in the community.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature review, data analysis, preparation of presentations, and reports
  • Conduct individual interviews
  • Field work support on survey and system training & follow up, data quality checking
  • Assist in the logistics arrangement of the project(s)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Social Work, Psychology and Public Health or equivalent and  at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and multi-tasking, work under tight schedule as well as in a team
  • Knowledge on mental health, quantitative or qualitative skills is highly desirable.

The appointment will be a one-year contract with a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
