We are looking for a Project Officer (Water Sustainability) to support the implementation of a citywide water conservation project that targets high-consumption users in both the domestic and the non-domestic sectors. The appointee will assist with fieldwork coordination, data collection, and logistical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth project delivery.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Fieldwork support:

  • Assist with the installing and uninstalling of smart water meters and data collection tasks at field sites.
  • Conduct online and phone surveys to collect research data and participants’ feedback.
  • Organise and input data into databases and maintain research project records.
  1. Administrative and logistical support:
  • Assist with participants’ registration and follow-up matters and handle participants’ enquiries.
  • Manage the project’s paperwork, including procurement and reimbursement matters.
  • Prepare reports and maintain project records, including participants’ agreements and data logs.
  • Support outreach activities and project events, ensuring smooth planning and efficient execution.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, environmental studies, business administration, or related fields.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in fieldwork and data collection would be an advantage but not required (training will be provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of conducting basic data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese (written and spoken).
  • A proactive team player who is able to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
  • Willing to work outdoors and travel to field sites across Hong Kong.
  • Those with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for the post of Research Assistant I.

A competitive salary, along with annual leave and medical benefits, will be provided.
