Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine, (Ref 530911) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, or on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Duties and responsibilities:

• Participate in basic and translational research related to breast cancer
• Data analysis and database management
• Project coordination
• Carry out administrative work
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or above in Biological Sciences, Medical Science or a related biomedical discipline, preferably with relevant experience in a laboratory medicine-related field.
• Detail-minded
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and IT proficiency.
• Experience in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, using SPSS and handling of clinical samples would be advantageous
