Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 530886) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary term or two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology or Bioinformatics related) with at least 1-year relevant laboratory work experience.
The appointees will assist in projects related to genomic sequencing. They will work with students using next generation sequencing techniques and analyse sequencing data with bioinformatics software. They will also provide research support to the research team, communicate with various laboratories based in China, and undertake any other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
