Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/II in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TALIC) (two posts) (Ref.: 530821), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
The successful applicants will assist with research and administrative work on different projects, including those related to AI in education. Responsibilities include the organisation, preparation, promotion, and execution of online/onsite/hybrid events (including competitions, symposia, seminars, and workshops), providing support to other parties to achieve project objectives, conducting research activities (including literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and report writing), developing written and visual resources and materials, and carrying out any other assigned duties.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Social Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience of event promotion and organisation, as well as project maintenance.
- Experience of the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
- An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Positive attitude in problem-solving, ability to meet deadlines, and good attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly in using MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience of using content management systems (e.g., Wordpress), video makers (e.g., Powtoon), and Generative AI tools would be an advantage.
