Assistant Director of Marketing and Admissions, Taught Postgraduate Programmes (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) (two posts) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 530801) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have a good bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably a master’s degree in marketing and business-related disciplines, with at least 6 years of work experience. Proven experience in marketing, with a strong understanding of digital marketing tools in both mainland China and international markets, with knowledge of building compelling brand stories and campaigns, is a must. They should be strong team builders and outcome-driven leaders, who have effective organizational skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver expected quality outputs under tight deadlines; an outstanding command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) as well as sound interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants with experience in tertiary education will be preferred.
The appointees will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase the awareness and enhance the reputation of the Masters Programmes. They are expected to oversee the entire marketing and admissions exercise and execute an effective marketing campaigns and events; manage the marketing budget and application pipelines; analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies, monitor the marketing performance metrics to optimize campaign result, and supervise the team to effectively deliver social media platform strategies, online and offline advertising, develop marketing collaterals, manage programme websites and build strong brand equity. Travelling and working on weekends may be required as information sessions, events and applicant engagement activities will be part of the responsibilities.
