Technical Manager in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 530790) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master's degree or above in Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, with at least 6 years’ post-qualification work experience in laboratory management. Knowledge of biosafety and experience in handling chemical licenses would be highly preferred. Applicants should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.

The appointee will play a leading role in managing the technical team which provides support in the following areas: body donation and anatomy education, general support services, communal equipment and facilities, IT support, safety, procurement and inventory, infrastructure and biomedical sciences laboratory education. He/She will also liaise with researchers, Estate Office and other commercial parties to coordinate research activities and maintenance works; supervise and train junior staff members; and handle other administrative tasks or special projects as assigned.
