Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref: 530775), to commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The Department provides an open, supportive, dynamic and motivating academic environment with the possibility to work on the cutting-edge research project related to a translational study to discover the new mechanisms underlying cancer metastasis through spatial transcriptome analysis and explore the therapeutic targets for immunotherapy to improve treatment outcomes for metastatic cancers. The activities of PDF will be integrated in a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Pathology or related discipline, with a good research publication record in the cancer field. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in one or more of the following areas: tumor microenvironment for virus-related malignancies, pathological features related to molecular alterations in cancers, and quantitative analysis of pathological images. Applicants should be self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in a team, and able to help supervise PhD students. They should also have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, good troubleshooting and laboratory skills, and effective collaboration skills.
