IT Technician / Senior IT Assistant (several postsin the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 530394) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Diploma or above, preferably a Bachelor’s degree, with 1-3 years’ full-time work experience. They should also have exposure to hands-on software development practices with tools, such as PHP, Node JS (React framework / NextJS), SQL, Microsoft SQL & MySQL, Java, Tableau and Python.  They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, IT proficiency, effective organizational and communication skills, the ability to work independently, self-motivation with a strong sense of responsibility.  Candidates with less or nil software development experience will also be considered for non-software development projects such as campus development.

The appointees will assist in both software and infrastructural project planning, preparation and execution as well as liaison with internal stakeholders and external service providers. Other duties include drafting user guide, UAT test plan, technical specification, progress report, tender and procurement documents, and perform other duties as assigned. Those with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Senior IT Assistant. Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref: 528848) need not re-apply. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
