Speech Language Pathologist (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 530118) (to commence as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applications are invited for the captioned post. The successful candidate will be involved in a research project related to swallowing management in older adults.

Applicants should:

  • hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in speech-language pathology
  • be a qualified Speech Language Pathologist in Hong Kong
  • preferably have experience in the elderly clinical setting
  • be responsible, organized, self-motivated, hardworking and capable of multi-tasking
  • be able to work independently and as a team
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese preferred)
  • possess good interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties:

  • deliver clinical components of a research project related to swallowing, including data collection and collation, report preparation and database management
  • work with external parties including social service groups
  • conduct assessments and treatments in Residential Care Homes for the Elderly
  • organize project events
  • perform other duties as assigned
