Post-doctoral fellow in the Critical Care Medicine Unit

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Critical Care Medicine Unit (22800).

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences, Biostatistics, or health-related disciplines. The appointee is expected to work on one of the followings areas: (1) mixed methods research in medical ethics; (2) medical education research; (3) critical care related clinical research.   Experience in data science, machine learning, and observational outcomes research will be an advantage. 

The appointee will report to Prof. Simon Sin / Prof. Emmanuel Cheung and will assist in administrative and research work, including but not limited to data collection and analysis, project management, and manuscript preparation. Candidates should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in working on statistical software and data management, and the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team.  Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be appointed as Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I/II. 

The appointment will commence as soon as possible for one to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary (monthly salary $30,000-$40,000) commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
