Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Statistical Officer) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530019) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in statistics or related discipline, with at least 10 year’s post-qualification experience. Experience in statistical analysis and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) are preferred. Knowledge of clinical trials and/or biomedical research would be an advantage. Applicants should be reliable, honest, committed, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility, and able to work independently as well as in a team.

The appointee will assist in clinical trials and other research projects. Patient contact may be necessary as part of the duties. He/she will conduct statistical analysis, power/sample size estimation, prepare publications, contribute to grant proposals and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
