IT Officer in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 529968) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus. They should have at least 2 years’ work experience, including proven experience in IT project management, specifically in large-scale campus development projects; a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems integration, network architecture, and cybersecurity principles; and proficiency in project management tools and software for planning, tracking, and reporting project progress. They should also have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize work. 

The appointees will oversee all IT-related aspects of campus development projects, focusing on project planning and execution by creating detailed plans that outline scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with goals. They will serve as the primary contact for users, collaborating with both internal and external parties to gather requirements, provide updates, and communicate project status to senior management. Effective resource management will be essential, involving the allocation of resources to meet objectives and the coordination of IT teams, vendors, and contractors. Additionally, they will identify and manage project risks, implementing strategies and contingency plans to address potential issues, while ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. Quality assurance processes will be established to deliver high-quality IT solutions, including regular performance assessments and feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
