Research Assistant I/II in the HKU Stroke, Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 528914)

HKU Stroke is at the forefront of stroke and dementia research and is currently actively engaged in a large range of projects relating to stroke and dementia prevention and management. Current projects include novel stroke trials; use of big datasets, hospital-based registries, advanced neuroimaging techniques and blood-based biomarkers to predict outcomes and facilitate personalised medicine; and use of digital health platforms and artificial intelligence in stroke and dementia. Duties and Responsibilities

  • assist a range of clinical research studies at HKU Stroke (HKU Stroke Research and Prevention Group) of HKUMed
  • data collection, entry, organization and analysis
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • a Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, social sciences, psychology, medical statistics or a related discipline, with good research and problem-solving skills
  • candidates who have relevant work experience may be considered for the role of Research Assistant I
  • a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
  • self-driven, creative, responsible, ethical, self-motivated, detail-minded
  • able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
