Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of project coordinator) (several posts) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 528888) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Nursing, Psychology, Statistics or other healthcare-related disciplines, preferably with experience in counselling and the knowledge of statistical analysis.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and good interpersonal and organizational skills.  They should also be responsible; highly motivated; and able to work independently and in a team.  Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Those with higher qualifications and/or relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.

The appointees will assist the Principal Investigator, in coordinating ongoing research projects related to alcohol control, tobacco control, smoking cessation or primary health care.  He/She will also assist in participant recruitment; tracking project progress; and performing data management and analysis, and other duties as assigned.  On-the-job training related to research and statistical methods will be provided.  Irregular working hours may be required occasionally.
