Applications are invited for appointment as Administrative Assistant I/II (AAI/II) (holding the functional title of Senior Manager/ Manager) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 528875), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a good university degree, preferably a Master’s degree, with at least 10 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or a related field.  They should have an exceptional command of written and spoken English and Chinese; a strong sense of responsibility and strategic awareness; a high level of decision-making, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills; an appropriate level of IT knowledge; and the ability to work proficiently with significant independence and keep their subordinates motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines.  Advanced proficiency in Excel applications and/or substantial experience in drafting formal documents would be advantages.  Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as AAII.

The appointee will play a versatile role in leading junior administrative, executive and clerical staff in supporting a range of tasks, on or above operational level, such as undergraduate or postgraduate programme accreditation and management, curriculum reform, assessment, quality assurance and enhancement of academic programmes, as well as provision of student-centred services in teaching and learning.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for AAI and 10% of basic salary for AAII.
