Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Manager for Admissions Outreach (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I (AAI) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 528855), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a good university degree, preferably a Master’s degree, with at least 10 years’ work and supervisory experience in the higher education sector, preferably in student recruitment and outreach, admissions, public speaking, event management or strategic communications.

They should be excellent communicators with exceptional command of English and Chinese; team player, mature, persuasive, personable, proactive and passionate about student engagement. They should be capable of working proficiently with significant independence, and be able to lead a team of staff as a team lead and a team player. They should have excellent analytical thinking, sound judgement and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

The appointee will be responsible for the development and implementation of admissions-related outreach activities, including summer and broadening programmes, and in-person and virtual outreach and engagement events. He/She will lead a team of junior staff members, manage the student ambassador programme, deliver social media initiatives, and act as a liaison point between internal and external parties regarding student engagement and outreach. As an ambassador for HKUMed, he/she will represent the Faculty at various student recruitment events and presentations, provide holistic support and admissions counselling services, and engage current and prospective students. He/She will also work closely with internal teams to devise and create robust, multi-channel messaging used for student recruitment purposes for undergraduate programmes. The appointee will be expected to exercise flexibility to perform other duties as assigned in support of the Faculty's mission, core values and goals. Working outside office hours and on weekends may be required occasionally. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
