Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) (2 posts) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 528815) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); appropriate level of IT skills (especially in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); and good organizational and interpersonal skills.  They should also have a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to perform multi-tasks, work independently and under pressure; be a good team player and attentive to details.  Those with relevant work experience in tertiary institution are preferred.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

 

For Post (A), applicants should have 1 to 2 years’ work experience in office administration. The appointee will handle undergraduate program administration including admission, course selection, timetabling, examination, student profile, course syllabus, course evaluation, and Staff-Student Consultative Committee Meeting.; assist the Associate Head of Teaching in curriculum matters; and undertake other duties as assigned.

 

For Post (B), applicants should have 1 to 2 years’ work experience in office administration and event management.  The appointee will assist in events management, program administration, and perform ad-hoc and non-routine tasks assigned by the Department. He/She will also provide general administrative and logistics support in the Department, including maintaining and updating websites, designing posters, and performing any other duties as assigned.
