Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 528797)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in clinical sample collection and biobank management
  • Perform a variety of experiments, including qPCR, DNA extraction, library preparation for next-generation sequencing (NGS), LC-MS, GC-MS, cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, etc.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics, Renal Medicine, or a related scientific discipline
  • Basic knowledge in programming and using statistical analysis software, such as SPSS, R, Python, Bash, etc
  • Knowledge of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and/or metabolomics is highly desirable
  • Good communication skills; self-motivated; strong sense of responsibility; attentive to details; scientifically mature and able to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in renal medicine and/or immunology would be advantageous 
  • Fresh graduates with enthusiasm for nephrology research are also welcomed

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
