Applications are invited for appointment as Executive (Development) (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Development and Alumni Affairs Office (DAAO) (Ref.: 528764) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

We are looking for applicants who share the University’s vision and are enthusiastic about supporting the fundraising initiatives of the University. Further information about the Office can be obtained at www.hku.hk/daao.

Applicants should possess the following qualifications: 

  • A good university degree with at least 3 years' relevant experience;
  • High integrity with a strong sense of professional ethics;
  • Ability to work effectively in a large, complex, dynamic and sophisticated organization;
  • Energetic, approachable style and self-motivated;
  • Ability to multi-task, work proactively, and pivot to address changing priorities;
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills; and
  • Excellent command of English and/or Chinese.

Responsibilities:

  • Support engagement initiatives in networking and fundraising;
  • Manage donor relations by assisting in stewardship plans and strategies;
  • Prepare administrative reports, organize events and other stewardship activities; and
  • Collaborate with faculties, academics and staff in fundraising opportunities.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
