Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 526667)

Duties and Responsibilities
- assist in the application and validation methodology of electronic medical records-based cohort studies
- studies of big data and simulation modelling in health services
- conduct data manipulation and visualization
- prepare scientific publications, grant proposals, and reports
- provide general administrative and operational support
- perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- a Bachelor’s degree or above preferably in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, or related disciplines
- a strong quantitative background, demonstrated expertise in analysis of large and complex datasets
- experience in analyzing statistical data using R, SAS, Stata, Python or other programming packages
- Relevant experience in big data manipulation or decision analytics, and a track record of publications would be advantages
- a strong sense of responsibility
- good organizational skills
- independent research skills and capability
- an excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
