Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 532667) to commence on December 1, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should hold a master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; and possess at least two years of in-service practice experience as a registered counsellor, social worker, or equivalent. Experience in teaching, training, or education is an advantage. Interest and knowledge in psychotherapy research and community psychology research are additional assets. The appointee is expected to demonstrate independent, flexible, and innovative working styles, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The appointee will be responsible for teaching, capstone project supervision, and curriculum development, including fostering experiential learning opportunities and promoting compassionate pedagogy throughout the BSocSc(Counselling) curriculum, as well as networking with agencies to facilitate capstone/internship placements and career development opportunities.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, as well as annual leave and medical benefits.
