Applications are invited for appointment as Secretary II in the Campus Services Office (Ref.: 532652), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis , with the possibility of renewal.

The Campus Services Office (CSO) is seeking a high-calibre individual to join the team as Secretary II.  The CSO is a newly established unit to unify the management of various service entities, including catering services, on-campus business outlets, postgraduate residences, and future operations of guest accommodations and staff quarters.  The aims are fostering a service-oriented culture, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of these units by taking a more dynamic business approach.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of CSO, the appointee will support the Director and assist the office to handle a variety of administrative tasks, including office operations, procurement, staff recruitment, HR management such as staff training, event organization, and providing support for IT services and functions. 

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A Bachelor's degree or a Higher Diploma with at least 3 years’ relevant full-time work experience, preferably gained at tertiary education institutions; 
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);  
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality;
  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills;  
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing); 
  • Self-motivation with good time management skills, attention to details and a strong sense of responsibility; and  
  • Knowledge of advanced PC software such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary.
